The whole map is covered in fog. Only the places you walk are revealed
VISITED is a personal travel archive that marks every place you've been on a map. The fog lifts with each step, and as your records grow, the map becomes the path of your life itself. Hiking, domestic trips, café hopping, camping, trail walks — the more you record, the more the map opens up.
You've been to lots of places, but when someone asks where, it's hard to remember. VISITED keeps those memories on a map. When you first open the app, the whole map is covered in fog, and only the places you walk through are cleared — permanently. Once cleared, an area never fogs over again, so over time the map becomes the path of your life itself. No sign-up, no login — all your records are stored only on this phone.
A fog map that opens as you walk
Only the places you pass through are cleared, and cleared areas never disappear
Set the clearing radius anywhere from 15 m to 100 m
Filters out GPS jumps so only the paths you actually walked remain
Log a place in one second
Automatically fills in the name and address of your current location
Add a star rating, notes, hashtags and photos
In a hurry? “Quick log” saves just the location, and revisits to the same spot are automatically grouped as one place
Stay somewhere for 10 minutes or more and it asks, "Log this place?" (optional)
Hiking, trekking and Korea's 100 Famous Mountains
Automatically calculates distance, duration and calories, and your route keeps recording even with the screen off
When you end a track, it saves a map image of your full route
Shows trails for Korea's 100 Famous Mountains right on the map, with course distance and estimated time in advance
Check off the mountains you've completed to see how many you've climbed, and get notified when you're within 5 km of one (optional)
Your records become achievements
Total places visited, explored area (km²), monthly distance, breakdown by category
Region completion — how many provinces and how many cities, counties and districts you've set foot in
Badges and streaks — 10, 50 and 100 places, 5 and 10 famous mountains, consecutive visit days
At the end of each year, get a yearly "My VISITED" photo book as a PDF
Share and back up
Turn your fog map and records into a single card image and share it instantly
Export each place's visit notes as an A4 PDF, and browse photos in albums and slideshows by date, place or category
Back up and restore all your records (photos included) as a single ZIP file — there's no cloud sync, so be sure to back up before switching phones
No. You can start using it right after installing, and all data — places visited, routes, photos and more — is stored only on your device and never sent to an external server.
Will my records transfer if I switch phones?
There's no cloud sync. Instead, you can back up all your records, including photos, as a single ZIP file and restore them on your new phone. Be sure to back up before switching phones or deleting the app.
Does it record in the mountains without cell service?
Your route and fog clearing are recorded normally. However, map imagery only shows for areas you've viewed beforehand, and auto-filling place names and addresses requires a connection.
Does it drain the battery?
Long tracking sessions do use battery. If recording stops partway, add VISITED to the battery optimization exceptions in your phone's settings. Background location is used for route recording, fog clearing, automatic visit detection and mountain alerts — it only runs when those features are on, and stops immediately when you turn them off in Settings.
Can I use it abroad?
The app is designed for travel within Korea. Maps and address auto-fill are based on Korean data, so accuracy is lower abroad.
Are there in-app purchases or subscriptions?
No. It's free and contains ads, with no in-app purchases or subscriptions. Available on Android 8.0 and up.
Can I trust the trail information?
Maps and addresses come from the VWorld open API of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's national spatial information platform, and trails come from public data on Korea's 100 Famous Mountains. Trail information in the app is for reference only, so when hiking, always check local trail signs and weather conditions first.
PrivacyVISITED collects location data even while the screen is off for route recording, fog clearing, automatic visit detection and famous-mountain arrival alerts, but only when those features are turned on. Collected locations and all records are stored only on your device and never sent externally, and each feature stops immediately when you turn it off in Settings. No sign-up or login is required.
